You Can't Always Git What You Want

As a huge Steve Miller fan during his hey day in the 70's, this song was never really known until much later... I had the Book of Dreams album but compared to Fly Like an Eagle, I was disappointed and let it fade away

It wasn't until much later did I re-listen and learned to appreciate that album and particularly this song

Thanks for the reminder

A true musician reveres his-her musical instrument. John no doubt is one of them.

WOW!!!  Truly staggering talent...  Lindsey Stirling on Violin, and Lizzy Hale's vocals, what a combination!  Thanks for that...

^ I was set to buy tickets to that 1994 tour and they canceled the show in my town - Las Vegas; but I managed to score a bootleg album of the show in LA.

Speaking of altered state of reality - pre Dark Side of the Moon;

As good as Beck is and as good as that live performance is, it pales 10000 fold compared to Jimi...

Side note, I love Beck's basist Tal Wilkenfeld

I like SRV's version of Little Wing much better...

I am also a huge fan of Tab Benoit...

This is a great R&B version of Hey Jude by Wilson Pickett and Duane Allman ... Pickett's voice, Allman's guitar and all those horns give me chills...

Indeed..Jimi was the zen alien master..never to be equaled 8)
Tal is am exceptional player...for better or worse Jeff's current lineup features Rhonda Smith, another great bassist. I feel the change was more "cosmetic" than talent wise. The thing I've always loved about Jeff is that I dug him in the 60's, 70's, 80's......etc. He has constantly evolved into new styles unlike some of his
still phenomenal peers such as Eric Clapton & Jimmy Page. SRV....pure emotion, a shame we lost him :'(

Ooops, looks like my original post before the 2 by VO got nuked.....prob because i was sipping my 2nd glass of burgundy! The song VO is referring to was "Little Wing".
