RAM/CPU maxing out

Last night I finally received my replacement SSD from Kingston so I did a clean install on the new drive, updated and then restored my config files. Today I booted up and had pithos, geany and thunar running when all of a sudden the system started lagging. Conky showed my memory usage at 98%.
When I finally got htop open my cpu usage was at 100% and my memory usage was at 99% but before I could see exactly what was causing it my memory usage started dropping.

Jedi reported a similar situation on the IRC yesterday... Said he removed his conky and went to the default one liner and the issue went away.

If this is the case, it would seem a current update has messed up conky for the higher end conky's used by some.  I know that there were recent updates to curl and it seems to me that there was a warning flag from the developer about how the new curl has an impact with the changes

I am speculating more than anything...

Right on thanks VastOne. Ill disable my weather conky and see if I have any more issues.
