Happy Summer Days to all...   ;D

I'm ashamed to post it, but was online updating the MSI lappy, got this scrot...

If anyone finds the Win 10 scrot offensive, just say the word and I'll delete it.  :D

@PackRat How does Zenwalk compare to Salix?

They are on par with each other.

Zenwalk provides a more complete xfce desktop out of the box, but Salix seems to have the more extensive repos. I think Zenwalk is a 1-2 man operation these days, and they're putting out a solid distro; Salix (and Slackel) have the larger team, so a bit more polish.

I may switch over to Slackel the next upgrade to the Slackware-current branch (about 3 months) just to have more of a rolling release. I've also thought about installing Slackware-current, then installing gslapt with the Slackel repos.

The system monitor is Rainmeter, using the 'SimplyNova' skins. (mostly) The media player is AIMP4 using a skin called 'Black Onyx Two'.  The media player in the scrot is in the 'mini player' mode.  Here's a shot of the desktop "busy"...

media player is in "regular mode" in this one.  It is the same media player.  AIMP4. (skin is for AIMP3, reason it says AIMP3 on the player)

^ Nice eye; that an MS Minion checking up on your installation?

Have you looked into installing VSIDO into the Windows 10 native virtual machine application - Hyper V - not enabled by default.

If it can be done for Ubuntu and Fedora -it can be done better with VSIDO.

No on the Hyper V.  :o Not available on win 10 Home version.  :o  I got the eye from a screen grab at the intro to a movie the other day.  ??? I have slept since then and cant quite recall the name of the movie, other than to know for certain that it wasn't the Minion one!   ???
