April 2014 Screenshots

Time for some scrots of April, and since I've been on a Fringe binge the last week or two, here it is in another color...  Gotta love the gifts to Peter from his dad Dr. Bishop!

Another shot showing off my drop down Xfce4-terminal...  GMB Layout by VastOne, system conky originally created by McLovin, but I've mangled it up pretty good to suit me...
The Tint2 bar acting as an App launcher is on autohide and why it is not showing in the first scrot...

Nice shots.

I was messing around with a drop-down terminal for a couple days; I can see how that would be become a standard setup.

Simple maroon(ish) and gray fluxbox style -

Hi!

I'm gonna turn this into a "build-log" but i'll be quick about it. First a scrot though :

Before :

* Intel "something" mainboard
* Intel Core 2, 2.2 Ghz (E4500)
* 2 Gb DDR1/667mhz ram,
* "some random harddrive" (got replaced alot!)
* Onboard VGA(or lack off!) and LAN(10 Mbit)

And now this : (picture first!)

* ASRock H61MV-ITX
* Celeron 2.7Ghz (1620)
* 4 Gb DDR3/1333
* 320GB WD Blue
* onboard Graphics (HD 2500)
* onboard LAN (1000 Mbit)

Sure it's only a dual core Celeron, but for what I use this machine for (or plan to anyway) this CPU is more than enough for me

Just wanted to share, because i'm very happy with what i've build, and very low cost too (I guess all in all, replacing everything from the old system (basicly just pulled the powercord and pushed it under my bed) I payed like $300 (- the monitor, keyboard and mouse)

So yeah, i'm happy. And the best part is... its 98% silent... Here is why :

So... I was messing with some conky for my i3...

Now it has so many pretty colors, depending on how much i'm hammering my cpu, ram usage, net speed, and so on...
