Most excellent shots last month; keep them coming and remember to use thumbnails:

Messing around with some blue and green this week -

can't bring myself to change my basic setup though. Just too use to it.

Same old boring?  Nothing to do but fix crappy tint2 issues on VSIDO?

Look again.. Kernel 3.15-RC7...

I love a challenge...

^ that kernel pretty stable? You have nvidia graphics don't you; how did the driver install go?

VSIDO - so boring, only Kate Beckinsale can spice it up:

^ Kate can make the dead live....  ::)

The kernel has not shown any strangeness yet... The fans may be grinding a little bit more.  I have nvidia but do not use any drivers other than stock nouveau

@PackRat - I really like your default fb theme, what theme do you use to integrate gtk apps into the same look?

can't bring myself to change my basic setup though. Just too use to it.

For the gtk theme, I pick one from the MediterraneanNight series - http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/MediterraneanNight+Series?content=156782

It's a full set of gtk2 and gtk3 themes - dark and light - with good contrast for my aging eyes. I usually convert the default blue highlight color to something more gray tone. Gives it a more neutral look to go with any fluxbox or fvwm theme I decide to use. I use gcolor2 (not installed by default) to pick/modify colors; or, if you're using geany, the built-in color chooser. For color selection, I'll usually take a photograph - like my cat Freya in that screenshot - and work with that palette to get some natural gradients.

Speaking of gray tone - making some of those today -

MediterranianSky is my slight mod of MediterranianWhite.

+2 A really nice piece of work! :)

I wish I had some artistic flare too! :(

Thanks; and all themes look better with Kate B.  :)

Forgot to mention. In a terminal -

man fluxbox-style > template.txt

will generate a text file that has all the style options that matter. A little bit of work, and you can create a template for theme.cfg. Makes creating custom themes a lot easier, and you can include it in your ~/.fluxbox/styles folder so you can see it as you create it.

No problem.

Tweaked my fvwm setup so it's different from fluxbox:

That's good to know.

I just drop in there now and again to see what's going on, and see if someone posted a question.

I see what you mean. I compiled 3.15. Fans were grinding and  (because) it was running a bit hot. Just compiled 3.15.1 on the HP laptop and a very noticeable difference (6-8 degrees C less on the CPU). I'll have to get 3.15.1 or above on the desktop. The current nvidia driver (GT 610) installed without issue on the desktop so hopefully I'll be good to go with that.
