Gdebi - Does anyone use it

jeffreyC

I use it, but am most unhappy with the gtk 3 UI, it was great with gtk 2.

If a suitable UI could be made for gdebi core without gtk 3 ?

Anything beside required minimum should be left to the user. Include it in welcome script.
Cheers.

Nah. I use it very little. I use dpkg to install deb-packages.

Gdebi-core can be used from the command line and resolves dependencies better than dpkg.

Do indeed use it on occasion, but many visido-ers don't.
Another vote for perhaps adding it to the welcome script.
