^ thanks

Compiling enlightenment with wayland support - may regret this move, but I take solace in the fact that VSIDO only takes an hour start-finish to install  8)

Thanks dizzie, will do! :)

The build script failed (needs cython as a dependency - wtf? - and apparently it is a broken package in sid). Found an Ubuntu ppa / Debian Sid repo for enlightenment though:

VSIDO + E20 running on wayland:

The enlightenment terminal runs fine, X-apps do not and kind of lock the system up so can't really give wayland a long look.

E20 quite the memory hog.

Linux it ain't...  (But will be real soon!  VSIDO of course!)

New lappy!  Custom built!

MSI GT72S Dominator Pro G-219
Skylake Core i7-6820HK
GTX 980M 8Gb's GDDR5 vRAM
32Gb's DDR4 2666 Mhz RAM
1.5Tb storage (512Gb Samsung SM951 NVME SSD) and a 1Tb 7200 rpm mechanical
Intel CM236 Chipset
"SteelSeries" keyboard (touchpad sucks though) is the best keyboard I've ever typed on
Blue Ray burner (does anyone still burn DVD's?)
6 USB 3.0 slots, 3 video outs, Thunderbolt...

Lots of 'bloatware' loaded as you can see in the taskbar.  Mostly MSI stuff.  This thing is a beast!

*(spec's listed for dizzie's sake!  No one else will care  ;) )

Nice rig jed -

some more VSIDO + E20:

E20 does not like conky at all - going to have to look for some gadgets; at least a good temp gadget.
