Hi Folks

I would just like to start a big THANK YOU to all the VSIDO team

right I haven't been on for a long time so I hope I am in the right place for this

I have just upgraded to 4.19.0-1 and while doing the general upgrade I got this error message

config error line 833 of /var/lib/exim4/config.autogenerated.tmp
option "hosts_try_dane
sub error /usr/bin/dpkg error (1)

it doesn't seem to have stopped anything working

Thanks for the reply.
As far as I know the phone is not unlocked and it does not have any recovery / bootloader on it. I have managed to get it to see the sd card though. i am trying to find  some firmware that does not need unlocking as I have no idea what network it was on. the only way I can load the sd card is via a SD card reader as i can't see it via a usb connection to the phone itself. my own phone is a SamSung S7 edge, should I add twrp to it do you think

Hi Folks

completely off topic this and i am hoping that someone can help me.

I have A Samsung Galaxy s4 mini G-i9195 that belonged to my daughter in law. she dropped it and shattered the screen which i have replaced with no problems. The problem starts with the fact that it is a boot loop, boots to Samsung logo and the starts to reboot again always at the same position, I have searched for and found various firmware that claims it will work OK and it probably will, only I cant find any firmware that contains the .pit file which apparently must match the firmware downloaded. is there anyone who can point me in the right direction or send me an email containing the  whole package. I am hoping that formatting the internal ROM will cure the problem.  It will certainly be very much appreciated.

In the meantime I shall keep searching  :)

what hive i got wrong this time.
Trying to get ppa:phablet-team/tool
 to try and sort out a damaged samsung s4 mini phone. have tried on windows (yuk) but cant find a bin file.. think I have foud one using VSIDO though so thought i might give it a go on here

I use a desktop.

As for reading anything about kernel etc there is no point as I don't understand any of it. Its like when I do an update and there is a message included in it. i don't have any idea what it is on about, all i do is hit the q button

Nothing major this time, at least I don't think so.

At boot up I get the following Message, and no idea what it is on about

it repeats itself a whole bunch of times before carrying on
It does not seem to affect anthing but thought you might need to know

Hi VastOne.

just dropped in to let you know that all is well.

LibreOffice had stopped working so I went to package manager and told it to upgrade LibreOffice which it did and is now running fine again but I then went and ran smxi again to make sure that LibreOffice was OK and it has fixed inxi as well.I obviously have no idea how or why just thought I had better let you know though

Thanks for that, It is something that smxi does and nothing to do with me. I just use smxi to do all the updates that you post and that's all.
I don't know if that's the best way or not. I just seem to have landed on on it some time ago and have used it ever since.

Thanks for your time and effort much appreciated. I'll just ignore it in future.

Download error smxi component inxi is incomplete or corrupted. it appears the file failed to fully download for some reason.

Yep i am running VSIDO Its the only version that I use. I like the friendly atmosphere that their is
hope I got this right
apt-cache policy inxi gave me this

Don.t know if that's what you want or if you want to see what happens when i run smxi and it say their is an error with inxi.
it says something about not downloading correctly but seem unable to sort it out.

Hi folks

not been on for a long time as had no major problems until now
inxi seems to have a problem when it start up when running smxi I have tried to reinstall it without success.
how do i force it to update reinstall itself
