found an excellent config for qtile where all the layouts were working, so I'll be keeping it around for a while to mess with.
Wow, 3 days just to get a desktop scrot posted. :o
Anyway, back to my normal...

I know it's been around a while, but Steam on Linux is really great! Playing "The Talos Principle" in windowed mode on VSIDO via Steam! Unreal graphics, and got the game for half price during this weekends half price sale! It's a great puzzle game that makes Myst seem childish. Created by the makers of Portal I believe...
(http://en.zimagez.com/miniature/talos10.jpg) (http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/talos10.php)
Here in borderless full screen mode.
(http://en.zimagez.com/miniature/talos20.jpg) (http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/talos20.php)
Can you decrease the size of the game window so we can see the resource usage reported by conky?
And those are nice graphics even in full screen mode.
Yeah, I'm seriously impressed by the graphics. They've created a beautiful world and the detail is phenomenal. Been checking all day, and the temps have never gone above what you see here. Everything is within the safe tolerance zone. 16Gb's of RAM, and 2Gb's of dedicated GDDR5 RAM on a GTX 660M Nvidia dedicated graphics card. It's a laptop, so I'm used to it running a little warm when stressed. To tell you the truth, this is the most stressed I've ever gotten it!
(http://en.zimagez.com/miniature/talos31.jpg) (http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/talos31.php)
The game is very enjoyable and I wish I had bought it sooner. Getting Steam setup was a bit of a challenge but doable obviously. I've not messed with multiarch support before this. All in all, I'm really pleased with the performance all around. A two year old laptop, and the game runs effortlessly! Did I mention it is a real joy to play? ;D
Back to my usual "dark" theme motif. I'm amazed everyone isn't using VSIDO!

vsido + fluxbox + kernel 4.0
running pretty smooth so far.

vsido + spectrwm - never messed with the default layouts before; made some minor tweaks to get a grid mode layout

It is indeed a Conky weather script, courtesy of 'arclance', and which I believe is still featured at #!. Check the Tips and scripts thread over there...

Awesome.
Thanks! Still walking around wearing a cap and a pair of shades, but at least I can see (and look really smart! 8) )
Anyway, I heard this was not the place to go, if you had problems with Windows 8 and MacOS X? :D

Yes, yes it is:

dwm supports xft fonts by default now so I had to check it out:

You may notice a kernel update there in the terminal... SID is updating the 3.16 kernel yet again, but I think I am going to hold off on any more ISO's until the 4.0 kernel is in Experimental. That will happen soon after Jessie is released which is scheduled for tomorrow...
BTW, expect a boat load of sid changes as Testing will finally be reopened and experimental will have a place to send updated apps again... The freeze is done!
^ nice
Will xfce 4.12 be coming to sid with all the upgrades? I have xfce on one install and have been waiting for 4.12.
drive by posting - dumped the one panel with the system info on it, no conky:

@VastOne, very nice wallpaper!
@PackRat, I read somewhere that 4.12 wont be here until middle of 2016... (then again, I could be totally wrong about that as it was a while ago when I was playing with Xfce4.10) ???
check out those gauges for the 4 cores on my lappy! working hard to build a new Kernel...
(http://en.zimagez.com/miniature/042415a.jpg) (http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/042415a.php)
Yes it is still cold here, and on top of that it is snowing hard as well... :'( It is never going to end...
Worked a little tonight on the aesthetics of my setup. A touch of the blues of course! The new 4.0 Kernel is running quite nicely. I also believe it is handling cpu and memory issues much better. Lots of new things to look at when you build it so be aware...

VSIDO absolutely ROCKS!!!
And here's another quicky showing of system resources while running the game "The Talos Principle" via Steam on VSIDO! As you can see on the right hand side, CPU and memory resources to spare! Same with the GPU use (GTX 660M w/2Gbs DDR5)
I swear, this lappy is 2 years old now, and I've ran it through the mill in those 2 years! Check out the shot of the game, it is a scene with the character looking down into a pool of water. Stunning visuals! Gaming on Linux has come a long way. I think we all knew it would eventually!
(http://en.zimagez.com/miniature/talos40.jpg) (http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/talos40.php)
I'd highly recommend the game...
^ all nice
bspwm; working on the key bindings:

conky with some launchers (dzen2 code) piped to dzen2.
bspwm is EWMH compliant so it works with panels - xfce4-panel in this shot, should work with tint2 as well. Panels with a tiler is sort of a no-no, but this is a pretty cool setup:

So, after been home with my mom and dad for almost a week, I spotted a 24" screen of my dads in my old room "So dad... You use that 24" or can I have it?" "Sure son... (Yay!)

Best tiling window manager ever.
more bspwm - tint2 and conky - conky_window set to dock so it doesn't tile into the stack.
