Title: How To : iPod and/or iPhone connectivity in VSIDO
Post by: VastOne on July 07, 2014, 03:30:14 AM
Long story short I hate Apple... Bought a Nexus and love it but the fecking audio jack broke on it making a couple of really good Klipsch headphones (ear buds) I bought useless

Along comes a 30 gig iPod so I get to work on it... this is all you need to connect and copy to and from using VSIDO.  This has been tested on a iPod 30 Black and an 80 gig iPod Classic

Step one

sudo apt-get install gtkpod

Step Two

Plug in your iPod and mount it via spacefm as you.  Right click on it (it is auto recognized in VSIDO) and select mount

Step 3

Start gtkpod in terminal or from Alt F2 and copy to and from as you wish

Step 4

Exit gtkpod and unmount the device in spaceFM BEFORE you disconnect it

Step 5

Profit

I have always said, get me the device and I can make it happen

gtkpod will be a part of the VSIDO Welcome script on the next VSIDO
