Saw VastOne's screen shots on the #! forums and thought I would give it test drive.

Welcome, when you install let us know your time. Mine is under 9 minutes, 8' 10" But I have a few more things to do that just hit enter in the setup.

Pretty sure sure mine was over 10.  Had some network/dhcp challenges to work through.  Seems to be fine now.

Yea, that happens when one has to select more than the "defaults" for each option.

Happy it's working though.

Welcome to the Community Terry!

I like double chocolate donuts...  :)

Can you elaborate more on what issues you had?

For some reason, Wicd did not want to play well with eth0 at first.  Finally just doctored up the interfaces file and made it work.  Doesn't work flawlessly though, dhcp wants to be difficult just about every other startup.

Not ready to blame it on VSIDO though.  Could easily be company networking issues.  I have VSIDO installed as a vbox guest (bridged networking), so that adds another place to point the finger also.  I normally use Waldorf installed as a guest for my work.  Have not been having network issue with it.  But I typically fire it up at start of shift and don't shutdown till I leave.  Whereas I have been popping the VSIDO guest like a yoyo, so would have noticed network issue there first.

Anyways, other than that, the install went very smooth and fast.  Great work!

Thanks!

Did you have any issues downloading VSIDO?  And which one did you choose?

I have a guy on G+ who is telling me it is stopping at 130Mib

Just grabbed that myself this morning ... and am planning on a test install today.
My system is super simple, desktop & cable modem.  I'm sure it will be like the other two, that installed flawlessly.
