Title: [Solved] Forum Fonts
Post by: Sector11 on January 15, 2013, 09:04:14 PM
OK I have a font size or two to pick on.

QuoteWhen we quote something it looks like the small print of a Life Insurance Policy advising us of bad things they don't want us to know.

During the normal course of reading a thread the font its just fine.

Now we come to   answering a post or creating one, and my wife can read the text from the other side of the living room and if "code is added" I'm not sure what starts and ends where.

Is there something in the software that will allow a user to pick sizes of the fonts for:
a. Quotes
b. Posts
c. Editor

If not is there a chance of getting:
1. quoted text a bit bigger, and
2. the editor text a bit smaller

================
I also notice unless I open my browser almost the full width of the screen I get this left <--> right movement again.

Am I the only 17" monitor here?

Even with 2 x 24" its too fkn small, and yes i wear glasses and all that shit, but doesnt justify the size=4 on a quote :) Will hack the theme, unless VastOne beat me to it :)

Try this

From Your Profile / Look and Layout

tick this on

Show WYSIWYG editor on post page by default

That should help it

^ I don't want a WYSIWYG editor.  Even though it isn't a WYSIWYG editor, it simply changed the background to a bright white with a black font - it is a better size though.

However, given the choice of over sized, bold font here or a white background within an other wise grey forum I'll stick with this.

Thanks

It is a WYSIWYG editor... Add an icon while within it and you will see the icon and not a  : D  or ; D

I believe I can change the size of the font size within it .. I will test it out

^ I don't think you understood - I don't want the WYSISYG editor.

I will continue to use what everyone else uses. Thanks anyway.

It just seemed strange to me that there is:
   Fine print for quotes
   Normal print for messages
   Over sized print for editing

I like the WYSIWYG editor and am glad that it is there as an option.

I will make the edit to fix the font size

The fonts should now be the changed and better in all edit modes

Let me know if they are not ...

You may have to refresh a couple of times

I just fixed the Quick Reply area also.

Thanks for pointing these out so they could be adjusted... These font size changes definitely make a difference

I adjusted the Quotes view too.. Including quotes here to see the differences

^ Yes, the difference is very noticeable. I don't need a magnifying glass to see the "quotes" and the editor is perfect.  No need to step back a couple of paces.   ;)

This is from my wife   :-*  for you.
