Been using Linux since 1991, Unix since 1987-88.
Started at UNI, we had those bigass computers, best known as 'mainframes' running SCO, IRIX, SystemV and so. At the same time i had a 486 SX/25 and later a Pentium 166mhz at home, barely useable for anything but games (Windows 3.11/95 yay!)
Then shit got real, and a grad student in Finland created Linux....
Still had my P166, with 8(i think) mb ram, and 540mb hdd... my first attempt of installing linux was somewhere around summer 1992, was a (today known as LFS, eg it wasnt a real distro with X and lots of stuff, it was the core, with a compiler one editor (vi ofcause) and mutt for mails etc etc...) in 1993 Debian was born (been using Debian ever since) but thats not entirely true, here is a list of the "distros" i've been using over the years :
Debian
Red Hat
Debian (Red Hat sucked!)
FreeBSD (yay unix! i know this shit)
Then (and i still regret that) Ubuntu 4.10
Ubuntu for a while....
Debian again (old buddy old pal!)
Gentoo (wtf! slow as hell to compile, but also very fun!)
Debian (Sorry, can i marry you, i keep comming back to you!)
Arch Linux (ohhhh shiny!)
Debian and Arch
now in 2013

My computerpark : Debian Debian Vsido Vsido and FreeBSD.
Did i mention i like Debian above any other distro????

It started as:
FreeB
eerS
andwiches_andD
amesthen, so as not to offend a wife if she saw it:
FreeB
eerS
andwiches_andD
anesuntil it dawned on me: "Debian"
