Great contributions in June everyone, thank you!
Let the July screenfest begin...
Still rocking with FluxBox

OK!
I'm up for this, let's start with something simple.
(http://ccs-wtn.com/webimg/07-01_scrot_tmb.jpg) (http://ccs-wtn.com/webimg/07-01_scrot.jpg)
Get it HERE (http://ccs-wtn.com/webimg/oval-bar.jpg) if you like it.
Superb and elegant and simple work jst_joe... :)
Well done!
Still messing around in the yellow-green end of the spectrum:

^ My goodness that looks good!
Makes my simple black stuff seem ugly... :'(
Well done PackRat!
But nothing compares to basic black for elegance and sophistication -

^ Right on!
Who is that? She is H O T
Kate Beckinsale of the Underworld movie franchise; her work clothes are also a very classy and elegant black:
(http://s22.postimg.org/ndi48nefx/July_1372733786_1366x768.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/ndi48nefx/)
She is one of my favorite actors... I had never seen her in that light and image and honestly, it is her best ....
She needs a better agent - definitely typecast as sci-fi babe; doesn't get the lead roles she deserves.
Fluxbox is definitely still ROCKIN'! Here's my latest scrot for July...

^ That is a Conky dream machine! Nice...
Nice one jedi.
a quick shot of spectrwm on vsido -

Was messing around today trying to replace xfwm4 with spectrwm (like it can be done with Xmonad) to get tiling in xfce4 - basically something to do on a (thunder) stormy day. No joy; obviously missed some reconfiguration steps. Have to move it to the back burner for now.
edit - added some region padding:

@PackRat
Kate Beckinsale had a talented actor Dad, Richard, who I remember from the great BBC 'Porridge' series in the 70's;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Beckinsale (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Beckinsale)
It was a tragedy that he died so young.
Thanks guys! Still not totally happy with it. It's a total of 8 Conky's running...
Back to working with red tones -

Conky is art in and of itself!
(http://en.zimagez.com/miniature/latest.png) (http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/latest.php)
^ Then you are one hell of an artist, just leave your damn ears alone!
I will definitely not cut off an ear!!! :D
However, I'm not the artist. All of this work was done by others and I just copied it and decorated my desktop with it. Just change some colors and voilĂ ! Though I did forget your contribution via the great gmusicbrowser! So here's a shot with it included...
(http://en.zimagez.com/miniature/latest0.png) (http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/latest0.php)
Some will think it too busy. Oh well...
Art can never be judged fairly... I think it is awesome!

working on some eye candy - e17 on VSIDO:
(http://t.imgbox.com/adkRVPh9.jpg) (http://imgbox.com/adkRVPh9)
default theme isn't too bad; probably just go with it for now.
^ Nice... Does e17 require a lot of resources?
No, I'll get conky set up later.
It's always been pitched as a low resource window manager; however, up until recently it has always been unstable. I would get seg faults on a regular basis with the 0.16 versions. Lowrider at #! claims the 0.17 (first stable release) versions are good so I'm taking a look.
I've always liked it since it is very similar to fvwm (the original enlightenment project was derived/forked from fvwm, I believe).
Besides the instability, the lack of themes (they were all glassy so little variety) and the difficulty of creating your own theme have really held it back. IMO Xfce (another fvwm derivative, I think) has really surpassed it in any functional and aesthetic sense without hogging the resources.
edit - add conky to startup apps:
(http://s23.postimg.org/mb47xbtc7/July_1373501347_1366x768.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/mb47xbtc7/)
e17 uses it's compositor by default; conky made transparent with argb settings.
I started this as a simple cutout type background.
The more I looked at it...
I realized if your point of focus is the top of the letters, it appears inset in the background.
However if your point of focus is the bottom of the letters it appears to be sitting on top of the background.
Is it just me?

Using Teo's weather scripts. VastOne's gmusicbrowser layouts. The rest is all listed in the Conky scrot's thread...

^ Very nice... Especially that Neil Young's Harvest Moon is playing!
Incredibly great taste!
Thank-you very much sir! 8)
All the Conky's and their respective lua/scripts are listed in the Conky thread. Just changed to Teo's weather, which a google search will find for anyone who wants to use it...
more of the same:

Brand new fresh install of VSIDO 8)
^ That is a very nice OOTB look at VSIDO no?
::)
I see from the man page that xfce4-terminal has some nice options at startup; anyone know if the background can be blurred using the compositor?

Good question... a quick search shows no easy answers. I would guess this would be resolved with some of your magic.
Nice Scrot and DE!

Nice Scrot and DE!
Then it must be karma that I came back with a clean shot showing the Temple of the Magician at Uxmal, Mexico ;D
Worth looking into.
VSIDO, FluxBox, 3.9-10 Liquorix Kernel
(http://www.zimagez.com/miniature/screenshot-07172013-014539pm.php) (http://www.zimagez.com/zimage/screenshot-07172013-014539pm.php)
How is that kernel running for you? I had some issues when I tried to compile my own - couldn't build some drivers against it - don't know if I hosed something, or there are some changes to the kernel I'll need to resolve (drivers for my internal SD card reader, and nvidia video card).
back on topic - added some bling:
(http://s13.postimg.org/or5o95vj7/2013_07_17_scrot.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/or5o95vj7/)
So far so good... Not seeing anything amiss as of yet
Cool, I may have to give the liquorix version a try.
And this appears to be Post 100 for me; so back on topic:

^ Nice... I need to grab some of those
That was just to awesome of an image to pass up! A new desktop image for me to replace the streetlights with! Thanks PackRat... :)
(http://en.zimagez.com/miniature/latest3.png) (http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/latest3.php)
My desktop isn't nearly as clean as yours though!
No problem.
I now use it for my lightdm background.
Hi guys!
I'm back (to cause havoc and terror!)
Starting out small... Fresh installed vsido on my mini, with i3 as my wm of choice :)
And very nice to finally get a 32bit iso VastOne, big thanks for that mate :)
(http://s13.postimg.org/dccd8leoj/2013_07_26_110726_1024x600_scrot.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/dccd8leoj/)
^ Very nice dizzie!
Glad to see you on 32bit... How is it running?

^ Very nice dizzie!
Glad to see you on 32bit... How is it running?
Extremely well, and fast as always (blame i3?), even with a Atom 1.5Ghz CPU with 2 threads. Did some "hardware rape test" (read: flash, youtube, and xvid) and no problems. Now I just need to get the special keys and webcam working, but thats a minor issue, something to tinker with hehe :)
Thanks again for the 32bit "offspring", I love it :)
Nice shot dizzie; is that i3-status bar or conky?
Been experimenting with Xfce sans window decorations. I like the aesthetic of it, but not really worth the hassle. The themerc for Xfce themes isn't as customizable as I had hoped, and the key binding control for window movement is lacking in Xfce (or maybe my Xfce setup/install is a little bit borked):
(http://t.imgbox.com/abrcLLVN.jpg) (http://imgbox.com/abrcLLVN)
^ Nice...
TBH, since I have used FluxBox, XFCE has lost all it's luster... My customers love it, but for me it is a PITA now
@vastone -
I know what you mean. I tinker with it every now and then, but never stick with it. Always find my back to fluxbox, fvwm, or i3.
I think it's greatest strength is that it is an excellent DE to train people who are switching from Windows to Linux - just enough familiarity to keep them from going into panic mode. I almost had my brother sold a few years back with an Xubuntu live CD. I think I could actually get him to switch if I could sit down with him in person again.

Very nice!
Thanks a lot! I have yet to really configure the WM, but I got the colors in my terminal setup as I want them,
pluss vim, tmux and zsh are mostly configured to the point where I like them.

Awesome is awesome 8)
Sorry, but the WM is dwm, not Awesme. I can't stand lua, so I couldn't stand Awesome :)
Xfce wasn't giving me the key binding control I wanted, so i blinged up cwm to give me the same aethetic -

Not my fault !!!!
Nice shot Jed :) 8)
@jed - nice shot
Have you tried using the grouping (tabbed windows) feature of pekwm? Grouped/tabbed windows is what really sets fluxbox and pekwm apart from openbox, but I never really got into configuring pekwm since I was pretty much set with fluxbox.
Nahhhh PackRat! VastOne is right. Obviously influenced by dizzie! I was just playing around, and am still too enamored of Fluxbox to let it go. I saw a shot of dizzie's and after a chat on IRC decided to give pekwm a go.
LOL ... I saw yours and decided to take another look at pekwm myself :D
Edit - switched from that most awesomely horrid default orange theme:
(http://s8.postimg.org/b6p1rt4tt/July_1375147117_1600x900.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/b6p1rt4tt/)
won't get me to switch from fluxbox.
Yeppers! Same here. Sticking with Fluxbox. Wish I'd known about it from the beginning and saved all the time invested in switching around... 8)
pfft fuck Fluxbox :P
Well if she was a woman.... I'll bet she'd look like Jovo!!! (Fluxbox that is!)

Grrrrrrrr! Jovo has class and style, and last time I checked, she was a ginger too. Sure she has a box, but thats another story 8)
Jovo?
Are you building female robots again? (http://www.jovo.com/) ;D
PackRat, Jovo is the "babe bot" on our IRC channel...
that's cool; lot of activity on IRC?
We keep it fun and active... It is growing
#VSIDO on Freenode
I'll have to check it out.
