Title: VSIDO Debian ISO updated 20FEB2013 18:45 CST
Post by: VastOne on February 21, 2013, 12:22:29 AM
New VSIDO ISO uploaded tonight

I fixed the Conky's to a generic that should fit all..

I corrected the VSIDO Persona in Firefox.  I was never aware it was an issue until I installed as a different user than vastone and saw it was washed out white

This has been corrected

Everything else is up to date SID as of 20FEB2013 18:45 CST

The upload will be completed in 20 minutes, thus the 18:45 CST time   ???

Took it for a test drive today ... AWESOME - fast slick install was by far the easiest one yet.

I noticed no option to boot to OB on the Live USB though.

Not a problem, I was only there for just under 10 minutes anyway.  :D

Right... That is a debian live issue that happens every time there is an update to debian live... On the next debian live update it will correct itself, that has been the pattern

You can log out at any time and get a lightdm login and then on to OB, the password is live

Great to hear that the install went well!  Thanks for testing it

Agreed. I just downloaded and installed the new VSIDO version of Feb.20th

Yes, no option for Openbox in the 'Live' desktop.

This is the kernel I have after initial updates  >  3.8-0.slh.1-aptosid-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Feb 19 00:54:45 UTC 2013 x86_64 GNU/Linux
So far - so good.  No problems as of yet.

Also, I have no idea what to do with a "Ceni"  :'(
I did eventually manager to get WiFi working.

The theme is 'too slick' - I like plain and simple.

jedi did a great How To here on ceni (http://vsido.org/index.php/topic,185.0.html)

A theme is a theme is a theme... and easily changed

If you have suggestions for any themes to add to and be a part of the distribution, I am all ears!  ;D

Ok, so the new hardware is here, I'm logged into the Live-USB session, and wow, the fixes are tremendous.  The look of Iceweasel is awesome!  Not washed out at all.  The greys/blues contrast very nicely.  Another great iso VastOne!  Boots almost instantaneous!   So glad to have been a part of this. It's been a real honor!

Thats great jedi, thank you!

I just wish I had known about the washed out white before... it would have been fixed a long time ago

Thanks!  ... I am damned glad you are a part of this too!

Theme suggestion: NewSlickness-brushed (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=138884)
(http://t.imgbox.com/abgjvcDb.jpg) (http://imgbox.com/abgjvcDb)

BUT, as you say, a theme is a theme is a theme ... too easy to install.

'live' - I never knew that, maybe on the download page?

Both themes added to the VSIDO and will be available on next ISO build

'live' is the universal password for LiveCD sessions, but I have added it to the Download page

Noooooo!  After all these years I never knew that.  ???

Mind you, in my own defence, I've never really needed it.  ::)
