Post by: VastOne on February 08, 2013, 05:07:07 AM
New Liquorix kernel to go along with a new release of Xorg today in sid

Both are working great...

I no longer have the issue of nvidia-settings hanging when starting

I am using Liquorix 3.7.0-6 and the beta nVidia driver version 313.18

Stop winking at me...   ???

I upgraded to 3.7.0-6.dmz.2 and I'm still having problems wit nvidia-settings (313.18).  Take over five minutes to show.  :(

I always do "up"  before going to smxi, it's easier to handle is I get an error of any type.  So yea, I have the latest xorg (1:7.7+1) as well.

And I timed 'nvidia-settings' today - 5:53 to show.

Anyone running vsido as a vm host using Liquorix?  It was a toss up (at one time) between that at towo as to which one performed better on that kind of load.  (did one of them use BFS?)

I installed the 2013-02-13 build of VSIDO as my main OS.

Took it to liquorix 3.7.0-6dmz.2 and NVIDIA driver v313.18.
All working fine with my hardware (http://vsido.org/index.php/topic,163.msg2089.html#msg2089), just couple of personal tweaks to take care of but running great!
