So as I was saying, we've really been hit hard by this latest blizzard weather over the course of the last 2 days and still one day to go. We are down to one entrance/exit from our home at the moment. We still haven't got out of the driveway yet. My wonderful son came through in the clutch as I have bronchitis and he made two runs yesterday with the snow blower. Not that you can tell. We have an aprx 6 ft. high bank packed in at the end of the driveway thanks to the county plow trucks. Makes it almost impossible to snow blow your way out of it.
So in the picture your seeing, I took this at sometime between 1:30 am and 2:00 am on Monday early morning in the dark so excuse the lack of real focus. Couldn't use the flash so my hands might have been a little shaky. :D

So if you look closely enough you'll see this was taken in the mud room of the house where we enter from the inside through the garage door which is directly to my left in the picture (not shown) and the outside entrance to the mudroom facing the street which is the focal point for the picture. Your looking at at least 15 feet of snow drifted up against the house. This runs all the way across the length of my driveway (3 cars wide) tapering down to about 5 feet. These are like dunes with the lower ones hidden behind that first big drift that number about 4.
So hopefully this will be the last day of this blizzard. Been a hard winter here so far. Not looking for sympathy or anything, to the contrary, this is where we choose to live and love our lives!
Well I might accept a roommate offer in Bermuda or the Bahamas right now. Maybe Aruba! 8)

@jedi Good to see you are stull surviving, in you nice cool abode up there in the northern reaches! :) Unlike when it's cold and shared family body heat to keep the freeze out is good, I find that the reverse in extreme heat is not the way to go! :)

:'( So @PackRat, there have been 4 more +70 (by a degree or two ususally) days since last I posted. The most terrible and unfortunate news is that while walking the lake property across from the State Park (we live on the opposite shore of the park), there is indeed still snow in the deep woods. It is not much and will be gone by this weekend I'd think. I've talked to several other "Maine Guide/Game Warden" friends who all say this is the latest they've seen it on the ground, even in the 'big woods'! :'(

So I picked up a HP z400 for about $30 a while back, cleaned it good, and dumped a few harddrives in it (5x500Gb) which I obviously had to put in a raid (it's why my /home is a lil big hehe) As for the screensize... I got a 32" TV for free, so why the hell not (Has HDMI so....) Anyway, enough blabber... Enjoy the screenshot :) Oh and have a nice day!

Such a reliable OS, I've posted almost all the scrots I can imaginatively post! So much has happened since that summer in 2012! Yet looking back at the scrots, same ole reliable system. OK, summer is over up here (for a month or so now) so perhaps some more time on the computer? We'll see.
I have a new "Man Cave" here to enjoy this winter! Over the course of the summer we moved back to the lake house, so lots of changes life style wise. Have already taken some great pics of the wildlife that I'll try to post shortly. This is such a beautiful place, sometimes I can hardly believe this is where I live! At the foot of Quoggy Jo Mountain, and on the edge of Echo Lake. It just doesn't get any better than that. Totally not true as I'd gladly trade for a more tropical clime... (in a tent)

Not directly. I have some light and dark *box themes that use blue, green, or red.
I actually like the moderate contrast/low saturation gtk3 themes since they don't really clash with any window manager themes I use. If anything, I would use oomox to create some near monochrome light/dark gtk3 themes. It would be the gtk3 beige series. :D
You need a fluxbox theme? Shouldn't be a problem to crank one out for you.

Background.. Sadly GMB is dying.. The latest Perl updates have effectively killed it and the dev seems to be permanently MIA
So after an exhausting search and finding Linux/FOSS still sucks when it comes to a decent music app, I was encouraged to give QuodLibet a look and am now using it
Of course I needed to find a way to get it to the desktop and dusted off an old old old How To I wrote years ago on using Conky and music apps (https://vsido.org/index.php?topic=7.msg10#msg10)

@vastone - I liked QuodLibet back in the day; sounded really good, and no problems with the music library. Needed a lot of python dependencies though. They get any better with that?
And speaking of music players; been tinkering with mpd and ncmpcpp. Not the most intuitive music application.

It is a process to go through. It does the basic bits like setting up the bootstrap, and building iso's, img files, ...etc. The rest is up to you and what you want to do. I added a bunch of code to mine because I wanted a custom build, not just install task-xfce-desktop.
