Would that be considered a hot enough cpu to be worrisome?  (compiling a Kernel)

What is the output of:

sensors

your cpu critical temperature should be listed - usually in the 90's C.

I'd start to worry after 95, And since you have Intel and not AMD, 80 is fine Jedi :)
