Jeff Buckley doing a cover of Dylan's  I Shall Be Released

IMO Buckley is as an important missing artist on the same level as Stevie Ray Vaughn... or Hendrix, Croce...

Jann Wenner said the following about a guitarist,
"A guitarist who was never showy but who had an innate, eloquent melodic sense. He played exquisitely in the service of the song."
Who was he referring to?
Who else but George Harrison. His guitar riff turns this average ballad into a timeless classic,

Thing I love about Jeff..a geezer kinda like me
Great style & technique of dynamics.
Variety of music he really can play.

As a guitarist, I am dumbfounded. Your mileage may vary.

Great video! Thanks zbreaker!
Jeff Beck is someone whom I'll call a guitarist's guitarist. Pink Floyd after Syd's departure thought of asking Jeff to join but Waters was too scared to ask!Jimmy Page once told Ron Wood 'Well, there's
no one better than Jeff, is there?'.
Here is Jeff Beck live from legendary Ronnie Scott's.

Hey hakerdefo !

Yeah, my first major guitar influence was JB in the Yardbirds and I guess it left an indelible bookmark in my brain.
I've played guitar on and off since my teen years (happily more "on" lately) and really appreciate class players of which there are many....my music library explodes with gigabytes
of content. The memory of my lifetime was meeting the legendary Les Paul after one of his Monday shows at a club called Fat Tuesday in New York and having him autograph the Les Paul cd box set that  I'd recently received as a gift from my wife. And yes, the Ronnie Scott/Beck show dvd is one of my prized possessions 8)

You met Les Paul! WoW! Lucky you! And yes keep playing that guitar, more 'on' than 'off'.
Cheers!!!
