If it wasn't for having to use haskell for configuration, I can see using this window manager a lot more.

iron out a few glitches and this could be a real smooth combination.

The awesomeWM intrigues me, and I hate to "give up" on something!  So I been playing with it again.  So customizable.  So driven by LUA. :(  It's only downfall in my eyes.  LUA is just difficult enough that the typical computer user isn't going to learn a programming language/scripting language to just have a neat desktop experience...
But hey, I've found I'm not a typical user anymore and this has actually been fun.  VSIDO makes everything easy really.  :)  Here's a shot utilizing the tiling features...

Oh yeah, awesome really does make Conky totally unneeded!  Not that I'd really go without.  The two buttons at the bottom left turn them on and off at will so I don't have to have them taking up screen real estate all the time...

And utilizing the tab feature (really just the virtual screen feature of every other WM) this is Tab 7, or screen 7 setup as my Internet/Web screen...

And a clean shot showing just the menu...

And like I said, the click of the second button from the bottom on the right brings the Conky to life!

Had to do a clean install on the Windows laptop - checking out some of the new Windows 10 features:

nice that virtual desktops are now native to Windows 10. If I get motivated, I may try to create a Linux VM with hyper-V.
