So many interesting dicussions about systemd around lately.  I'm just going to leave this here.

And I for one am just a simple user, but one who cares about choice.  Systemd seems to be completely against that.

I agree, Opera certainly is a contender, aside from it being closed source. They had halted releases for Linux, but a new one is in the works according to Ruari (just don't know an exact date)...

I've been wanting to try out dwb but haven't gotten around to it yet...

In Sid, I prefer to use Iceweasel 24 (ESR version).  The only thing that bothers me though is that some of the addons I like using are outdated or abandoned.  I've tried using other browsers, but nothing else could convince me to switch so I just deal with the shortcomings.  Also, I trust Mozilla more than I do Google.

@jedi Thanks! From reading through some of the threads here, you all seem very cool, easy going and helpful.  Nice to see these kind of forums in the linux community.

@dizzie :D good to be here and by the way thanks for helping out in the IRC channel.

Awesome, that did the trick.  Interesting about the tabs, I need to read more about this.  And thanks for the welcome  :)

In Fluxbox, is there a way to disable the application icons that show in the titlebar of windows?  I've been looking through the various config files but to no avail.  I looked in the Fluxbox wiki too http://fluxbox.sourceforge.net/features/titlebar.php, but don't see what I'm looking for there.

Introductions / Hello and Kudos

So I first learned about VSIDO in the CrunchBang forum and have had my eye on this distro for a while now.  I finally decided to stop lurking and join the community! Kudos to VastOne for creating such a unique fluxbox desktop and thanks for keeping an always up-to-date way to install Sid.

A little bit about me...well I'm not exactly a die hard user of any one linux distro.  My journey started in the Debian family, starting with Ubuntu to CrunchBang to vanilla Debian.  I've been a user for about 3 years now and have ventured into Arch, Slackware and a little bit into Gentoo.  I enjoy learning about linux immensely and am looking to become a contributor rather than just a user one of these days.

I do have a question, but I'll make a new topic for that...
