^ I first tried  Omploader (long ago) but, their site seems to be down quite often.  Always been a problem.

I've been using "ImageBam.com for years now.  Somewhat customizable, and ... I like it.

YAY!!  A new lappy.

We want details/specs and stuff?

I am using a fairly new Thinkpad X1 Ultra-Thin lappy with only 2 partitions (Debian -Sid and Stable+backports)

I'm using the 3.8.4.slh aptosid kernel from the aptosid repro, that is in the default VSIDO sources.list ... no problems, thus far.

I've used the Liquorix Kernel before (meh) ... it's OK, I guess.

Thought, I'd give the aptosid slk-kernel a try.

Excellent tribute, Larry.  Well written.

VSIDO works for me, too.

General Support / Re: Debian or Liquorix Kernel

Since the aptosid repros are in the default sources.list after install and inital updates, I did a manual install of the Kernel and got the 3.8 aptosid kernel.

No problems, whatsoever.

One thing you have to remember when using the Fluxbox WM, that after you Add/Install/Remove/Edit something, you need to 'refresh' (Recogfigure) the WM.

Yes, the Menu is auto-updating but sometimes I have to 'refresh' the Menu or in the Terminal do a "sudo update-menus"  That's all that is needed, with Debian.
