I am pleased to announce that we now have a VSIDO wiki available to all users. It is well stocked already with valuable data and will improve in the near future and onward
There is a link to the wiki in the menu bar
A very cool thing about the wiki is that there is a bridge in place for all VSIDO forum users to automatically login to the wiki with their forum account
This wiki would not have been possible without the incredible help from dizzie, haylo and several other editors
Thank you to everyone who contributed!
To think our VSIDO Community has come all this way in a short 2 weeks is stunning. An incredible wiki site as well as one of the most superb Linux forums out there! What more could one ask? Thanks very much to 'dizzie', 'haylo', and all the rest who've had input on the wiki! Outstanding job and very well done. :)
You are welcome ! ;D
And to those who has the urge to contribute, but don't know much about wiki markup language, i'll be happy to give you a quick 'crash-course' on how to..
And i have OCD when it comes to my wiki (yes i gave my wiki db to VSIDO), so before you go nuts and think "oh this is cool" do us all a favour, ASK first. I or VastOne wont turn any contributed stuff down, IF its put in the right place :)
Anyway enjoy the wiki, it has been my baby for some months now 8)
@ dizzie: oh this is cool!
Note to self: Take the crash course.
But I made an edit
http://vsido.org/wiki/index.php?title=Command_Guides#Screenfetch (http://vsido.org/wiki/index.php?title=Command_Guides#Screenfetch)
↓ added a space
wget http://served.kittykatt.us/projects/screenfetch/screenfetch-2.4.0.deb (http://served.kittykatt.us/projects/screenfetch/screenfetch-2.4.0.deb)
sudo dpkg -i screenfetch-2.4.0.deb
Awesome work dizzie, thank you!
Awesome! Glad you like it :)
wiki-fu isnt hard, its basicly just alot of ''' '''s and === ==='s :)
Cheers for the edit :)
I know wiki-fu and what I don't know I find here:
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Contents (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Contents)
It is what Conky PitStop uses.
That'll do :)
Nice work all!
I've never found Wiki's to be manageable in the long run but I wish you all well with it :)
^ And this particular wiki was shorter lived than most
The wiki has been removed due to a conflict over ownership that does not adhere to FOSS values
