I had a quick detach backrest in the final build and the seat is a LePara gel, a lot more comfortable than it looks. 8)
I had Eleanor since 2003, sold her a few months ago.
Time for another build, I'm leaning toward an Old School Bobber.

First riding season one of the butterfly screws out of the S&S carb came loose and sucked down the front jug (top end rebuild). ::)
Second season one of the roller lifters came apart at about 80mph (cam housing and oil pump rebuild). ???
Does Gone in 60 Seconds sound familiar? Luckily I can do my own work.
That's why I go with Harley's they're like a 2 cylinder Chevy V8 easy to rebuild. ;)

My new desktop, thanks to jst_joe! One of my favorite walls. Conky is McLovin's Bars, Teo's weather, VastOnes gmail parser, in Xfce! Still need to do some tweaks to the Conky to reflect the new laptop.

I created the swirl on a small section of the wall then aligned it on the wall to get the grain to match.
Then I had to merge it with a copy of the wall and do the burning to make the color right.
I tried to make just a stand alone carved image but didn't like the result.
Everything else is a separate image VISIDO, shadow, baseboard, floor I've also got a raised swirl and shadow.
I have several of each item so I can mix and match things for different looks.
That's why I like simple conky's, I tend to get carried away.
Then I never get any sleep. :D

I have toyed with 2.9 a little, but keep having some issues with it closing out if scroll too fast through my fonts. I think I just need to recompile it.. until then 2.8 will keep me company.
I find it buggy and often very slow - gegl not properly integrated I suppose. I'm only using it for .exr and 32bit - necessary for the smooth mesh displacement in the blender render above - but 2.8 is staying until 2.10 is eventually out

(did actually have my yesod site running on it, but, it was terribly personal, n didnt want to really advertise that... more like a "if i were a public figure, what would my esr/rms a-like site be like" experiment, just to give me something to sink my teeth into some of the basics of yesod. anything worthwhile being on the net, would tend to do better on a box getting more than 35k up, that isnt being hammered for use by other people too. ~ still, that could change too... could start a campaign for better high speed broadband access in rural parts... or just get some high expense one... or move to somewhere... or just have a vsido box somewhere. )

What if you created the gif without the blue background? Then set the gif to be centered and all around it will be black. Is it even possible to have a live wallpaper like that?

In any case the answer to the gif wallpaper is no on both counts.
Apparently windows and linux can't render animated wallpapers as anything more than a static image.
Don't know about mac I don't have one to test it on.
Good thought it would have made a really great wall.

My big problem with almost all things KDE is a ton of dependencies.
To make it work on VSIDO would be up to VastOne.
I like things simple, guess I'm just getting old or lazy or both.
@jst_joe, KDE installed on my VSIDO as well as lwfitz. It is up to version 4.11.3. This is the first time in probably 10 years I've actually installed it, then left it in place! It has come a long way. Yes it has a lot of dependencies, but isn't to bad on memory or drive space for that matter. All of that said, my main goto is still Fluxbox! Just can't tear myself away from it. However KDE has some super nice features in it's Plasma Desktop that have been a long time coming. With a little perseverance you can get it to install and run smoothly and quickly on VSIDO. I have to say that as far as eye-candy goes, KDE takes the cake! (also I have a 4Gb GDDR5 dedicated VRAM GTX 660M nvidia card and 16Gb of sys memory with an SSD drive to top it all off. So probably whatever I run will run really fast!!)
Back on topic, watched Prometheus again tonight after learning there is going to be a part 2 in 2015. A bizarre bg I came across while checking it out...
